Apocalypse Theatre
Apocalypse Theatre also known as Apox has been around about a decade. At least in the sense that the band name has been around. The band has had 95-100 members which changed the course of its destiny through the years. From its Goth Rock origins in Washington DC to the nomadic tribal industrial era that evolved during the San Francisco years. Apox continues to defy trends and ignore the cliques as the story unfolds. Yes...Apox were sometimes loved, sometimes hated, but through it all, Apox would always survive to rise up from the ashes and reinvent itself. If you have never heard of Apocalypse Theatre...Now you have, and chances are someone you knowlost02 has crossed paths with them, or knows someone who has. A fourth national release has been released on the established underground label Invisible & its department-Underground Inc. This CD is called “ Lost in America” and is a musical journal of love, tragedy, triumph and escape.
After starting out in Wash. DC. ( CD "Angry Angels") & living in San Francisco (CD; "Cain or an Open Vein") during the late 90's, the 21st century brought the troupe of misfits to the American heartland where its core now presses on through the long cold winters in Minneapolis Minnesota .
There is more to this story than just music, the band is also active in a film and multi-media projects as well as having worked for The Burning Man festival in Nevada several years in a row, playing to 1000's of people on top of a mobile fire breathing Mad Max vehicle/stages.
Apocalypse Theatre refuses to be drawn into a box, and even now as you browse these pages members of Apox past and present are somewhere in America, paying the price for daring to be free.
