The Castle in the Sky

In the distance, grand spires loom... Over there, atop that hill...

What is that place over there?

Looking oddly like a castle... Mommy, does a vampire live there?

It's something darker, Something a child cannot comprehend. It's something scary, Something a child should fear.

So beautiful in the distance... Mommy, what is that place over there? Far away with the moon and stars, yet almost close enough to touch.

Mommy, I must know, who lives there? The broken people, with shattered hearts... living in the distance, in the sky way up over there.

I want to find the castle. I want to see what is there. You might not understand, but I need to know.

So many questions unanswered, What secrets will I find?

Mommy, what did the people in the castle do wrong? Why are they so sad? Mommy, why do the people in the castle cry?

So dark, so sad, so intriguing... Mommy, I must know, why don't I live in the castle in the sky?

In a child's eyes... The castle looms above the road. A magnificant palace, with secrets to be told. And the child must know...

So, the child climbs to live in her castle in the sky.
